Water Feature and Koi Carp Pond Design and Construction
What the project involved:
- Excavate ground for pond and use soil to level of another part of the garden
- Install drainage sumps in steel reinforced concrete floor
- Construct 9″ re-enforced walls for big pond and smaller nursery pond half in ground half above ground
- Install inlets and skimmers and underwater lights and render walls and floors of both ponds
- Build plant room at the end of pond with a waterfall on the roof returning over granite to big pond
- Install a window in big pond
- Fiberglass the shells of both ponds
- Supply and fit all plant room equipment including 3 filters, 4 pumps, 3 uv filters, 4 external sieves
- Clad the walls of ponds and build decking around the whole pond
- Build a pergoda over the big pond with a bamboo roof
